Sony announced that they have released a new web video player that enables PC and Mac OS users to watch movies and TV series from Video Unlimited. According to the Japanese company, the web player enhances the experience of their video platform in several ways.

Because of the web player, users no longer need to download and view Video Unlimited content through a separate PC users. Furthermore, this feature enables Mac OS compatibility for the first time. Sony explains the simple procedure users need to follow in order to watch video content through their new web player. You need to go to Sony Entertainment Store, where you can rent or purchase a video, and select the “Watch Now” option. Then, the in-browser web player window opens automatically and offers you easy to use playback controls and the ability to switch to full screen mode. Which is basically what every web player does. You can access your previously owned or rented content immediately through the “My Videos” section in Account Settings.

Sony’s web player is available to all the countries in which Video Unlimited is available, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom and USA.

In addition to this, you can also access the Video Unlimited library through the PlayStation store on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita and through the Movies app on Xperia smartphones and tablets.

Sony’s Video Unlimited platform allows users to buy or rent movies or TV series and watch it when they want. Their prices are accessible, even when it comes to blockbusters. For instance, Transformers: Age of Extinction can be bought or rented for $14.99. Some of the TV shows available on Video Unlimited include BBC’s Doctor Who, Sons of Anarchy, Hell on Wheels, Teen Wolf or The Walking Dead.
